the 12 cheat codes to life (FREE)

Hello! Glad to see you stop in today. Thank you for being here. For my first blog post I would like to provide immediate value and share with you the cheat codes to life as identified by me and other coaches across the industry. I swear by these cheat codes and share them with each and every one of my clients. Enjoy!


#1: Self-Awareness


In today's day and age too many people, myself included, are getting caught up in the daily grind of life to no fault of their own. We consume content (frequently in an echo chamber - more on this later) and are constantly asked more and more of ourselves from society. This wear and tear on us mentally can exhaust us to the point of deteriorating some of

the most important aspects of our lives: our relationships with others.

Understanding this cheat code is all about digging our heads out from under the sand and seeing how we DIRECTLY impact the world around us. When your job changes, you move across the country, or you complete your latest work project the only thing that will stick around long-term is our relationships with others.

Being self-aware is about more than just noticing and forgetting later, it is about acknowledging how you treat someone or situation and making a physical note of it to look back on later when you are in a calmer place of mind to reflect (I use my Notes app for this). Once you reflect, you can see how to work with someone in the future rather than against them in dealing with conflict resolution, creative inspiration, and so much more.

How To Put Yourself in a Self-Aware State:

  1. Close your eyes

  2. Take a few deep breaths

  3. Visualize an object (cloud, car, animal, etc.) moving calmly across your vision without following it

  4. See your problems as these objects to distance yourself from them momentarily

  5. Open your eyes slowly and look around :) See the world in a lens you never have before

#2: Open-Mindedness


This cheat code builds on the previous one (as with many of the cheat codes in this list). Open-mindedness is something that has been increasingly diminishing from society and technology has only exponentiated that. Because of technology and the pursuit of more effective advertising strategies, social media apps are feeding us streams of information curated to us by things we have engaged with in the past. This can be incredibly entertaining but it is a digital vacuum chamber in itself and has caused people to stop listening to one another in the physical world. This means we will never be presented with new information to challenge and intellectually stimulate us unless we go out looking for it, listen closely, and BE OPEN MINDED.

I have learned SO MUCH from learning about this cheat code and applying it to my daily life. There is so much to learn and LEARNING should be FUN! Sadly, training yourself to be more open-minded takes more effort than being more self-aware. The only way to exercise this part of your mind is to go out looking for information you disagree with and seeing it in a different light. You do not need to change your opinion on something to adopt a routine of open-mindedness, rather you need to allow a space in your mind to accept that information.


How to Put Yourself in an Open-Minded State:

  1. Take a few deep breaths (this is a great first step for almost anything in life!)

  2. Think about certain topics or people you disagree with (mainly that you do not genuinely know too much about outside of social media or sound bits taken out of the context of the entire conversation/text)

  3. Read an article written by that person or on that topic (by a verified and legitimate source at your own discretion)

  4. Void yourself of your preconceived judgments and put yourself in their shoes

  5. LISTEN!
